your Poppa loves you baby girl.
When you are with me I will always do my best to
save you from the emotionally damaging
“effects of fatherlessness”
In the heart of most human beings there's a relationship they cherish either with family or a friend. This instinct to join together is vital to our creation, however, for some it doesn’t last. Folks agree that their children bring great joy into their lives and that is what this story is about. A baby girl born to a couple was the blessing they longed for. As with some unions, her parents just couldn't stay together. This forced one parent into an uphill struggle to remain in the life of their child.
Single parenting is not the chosen path for many parents. Although the time with his daughter was now short and limited, Dad's love prevailed. After he surrendered, divine miracles paved the way for his success. Their time together would be the same, educational and fun with selected activities she would learn from. He adhered to the judgments and made changes necessary to keep his visits. Dad became her shield and deflected the attacks that ensued. Successfully protecting her heart and mind rewarded him with the love and honor of his little girl. As tensions escalated from the opposition he continued being her teacher, her mentor, the good dad and eventually, poppa won.

In the beginning their relationship grew from the gift of love. In addition to her two sons, she gave birth to the baby girl she always wanted. As with many couples, their young child took center stage. Two years later they moved into the home she bought and the happy family this mom and dad had always wanted was now a reality. Within a year red flags began popping up as she went back to her old habits and wouldn't set boundaries with her grown sons. This caused their bond to break and the love they shared was replaced with friction. To be a better parent to his little girl, dad moved out, half a mile away while mom used her lawyer to set a court date for him to face her allegations.
She accused him of drug and substance abuse, including alcohol; threatening the mover and the minor child on several occasions and she was seeking sole custody. Because he was a repeat offender in his early years, that made him look guilty. His attorney suggested if he wanted to see his daughter to take their offer. He was new to all this so Dad agreed to supervised visitation.
After this loss he refused to give up on his only child. He fought back by keeping notes and doing his own investigation and research. He obeyed the judgments while successfully gathering evidence to prove his innocence. He built a strong defense and gained the freedom to have more time with his little girl to prevent her from having a life without her Dad. His concern for uninformed non-custodial parents is the reason he ventured to write this warning that reveals his atrocious legal proceedings so they can avoid the emotional wounds from the stress and anxiety that this kind of inhumane battle will create. His primary goal was to save his child from the effects of being fatherless. After the judge awarded him more time, it was easier to continue being the dad that his little girl loved.

This true story displays the painful truth of what can happen when a custody battle enters the courtroom. It's the mind-boggling dilemma no one wants to talk about. It can result with dependent kids clinging to a dominating domiciliary parent encouraging alienation of their other parent. Early preteen estrangement evolves for the absent parent they once loved. If the separation is long term, the emotional damage will be irreversible. This book contains advice and direction to non-custodial parents so he or she can gain the love and honor they want from their kids. It reveals what is needed to do well in court and suggests when it's time to take action. This is not another boring story about a custody case. It is a vivid non-stop suspense journey exposing crippling moments that took place in this legal process. It'll help victims formulate the right questions and pursue with investigations. It's a tactical handbook that can be used to develop strategies to gather the evidence for a strong defense against the assailants and prevent chaos. It also teaches how to be the fun parent and to win the admiration of your kids by giving them what they want, your time. This dad knew if he let his guard down that her mom and the others involved would not stop their malicious schemes until he was no longer allowed to see his daughter. The most compelling subject matter in this true story is the never ending, solid resilience of a father who was determined to be involved in the life of his only child.

This book is dedicated to all the persons
who have lost their right to be parents
due to a vindictive significant other or
a faulty family court system whose
decisions are the contributing factors
to this nations number one epidemic of
disturbed and problematic children growing
up in the United States of America
and
to the millions of people who, as children
were made to side with one parent against
the other in order to gain the desired love and
approval that they so rightly deserve
She turned seven-years-old and I already had her gifts at home. New PC lessons and a stationary kit is what I bought and she wanted us to write letters to each other. What she chose to put on paper revealed her pain. It was this letter that proved she loved her Dad no matter what and didn't care what other people said. Kathey's household was those "other people".
No matter what they say, I decided to keep on being her teacher, her mentor, the good dad

If the allegations made against her father were true, she would not want to continue going to see him. Children who are subjected to prolonged verbal, physical or sexual child abuse occurring since the age of four-years-old, when he or she begins attending school there will be a mix of clear signals that this child has been or is being mistreated. When teachers notice unnatural social behavior, that they're abnormally fearful, an unusual amount of anxiety or a consistent decline in academic performance, this alert can be a sign for those in charge to take the appropriate action. Her 1st grade Terrytown Elementary report card revealed his daughter made excellent grades and had satisfactory socials skills. It was the computer lessons she learned in the care of her father that helped her to excel above average, as noted. Her mom feared losing custody from being incarcerated for contempt of court and was forced to flee. In March of 2003 Kathey followed the plan orchestrated by her sister Kathleen that included coercing his daughter to make criminal allegations that the authorities could use to lock up her Dad in Angola Prison.

Except for her birth certificate, Kathey excluded her father by not putting his name on any paperwork involving his daughter. His lawyer made arrangements with the school to give him a copy of her 1st Grade Report Card. Her academic performance proved his efforts to educate were successful. Certainly he thought the next court hearing would force her mom to return
Her good grades in basic subjects, including conduct put her on the Principal's Honor Roll
All Progress Indicators show her performances are developing and working satisfactorily
Her tardiness doubled, her absenteeism tripled and without giving notice, she disappeared
